All swimming pool and spa lights require that their sealed electrical cords attached to the light, terminate in a UL approved junction box such as this one. There are several on the market, but none are as easy to install or more rugged for long term use. All lights are required to be not only grounded, but also BONDED with the steel grid of the swimming pool with a large #8 bare copper wire. This wire is also attached to this junction box, making it the safest and most protective light installation one can ask for.
