All of the electrical wiring for a swimming pool or spa are required to be installed in conduits and not direct burial cable, etc. The inside of the home and its walls are allowed to have cables ran through the studs and terminated at each plug or switch. But ALL swimming pool wiring is required to be installed in proper conduit raceways to protect the wiring. Those can be any of the ones listed in the photo above, as there are many to choose from. 95% of the conduits used are PVC colored gray and required to be buried no less than 18 inches deep.
