This is a Jandy AquaLink Pool/Spa Controller. The days of a simple time clock to turn the pump on and off, and a light switch near the back door or equipment area, to turn on and off the lights, are over. This controller does everything with a hand held remote. Other and more costly controllers can also have the control panel inside the home. But this is a more simple version and uses only the hand held remote. As you can see, there is a pod mounted to the wall just above the controller. That is an antenna used so the hand held remote can communicate with the system. I rarely works if the pod is put low on the wall and out of sight as the communication can break down. We mount them just above the controller and never have a problem.
