Emergency Power Kill Or Disconnect Switches are required on all commercial swimming pools that have spas. The entire power to the spa that controls the motors, blowers, heaters and lights must be controlled by this Emergency Power Kill Switch. Since all of these items are on different circuits, the Emergency Switch has to control all those circuits by routing them through a control box with separate contactors for each item. Should there be a problem in the spa of any kind, anyone can get out of the spa and push the Red Button and everything turns off that is associated with the spa. This Emergency Switch has to be installed within 10 ft of the Spa and in sight of people actually sitting in it. In other words, it cannot be covered with landscaping or around a corner and out of sight. This particular installation was rare as there was no other place to mount it other than the wrought iron fence close to the spa. Usually there is a nice, solid wall close by. But this installation had nothing close other than the fence where it was mounted.
